Colora

Colora’s advisors take colour and paint advice into customers’ homes. While working at RMDY, I designed an app to capture each consultation and support project follow-up on site.

The challenge.

Customers struggle to choose suitable paints and imagine colours on their walls. Advisors needed a practical way to document personalised advice during home visits.

The key decision.

We brought room assessments, photos, colour advice and paint palettes into one consultation flow. A journey workshop with product owners established user needs, pain points and technical constraints.

The rejected option & why.

Initial prototypes were refined through internal user testing, rather than treating the first interface as final. Feedback informed both the design and the design system.

The outcome.

Colora’s field advisors use the app during customer visits. A trusted development partner implemented the UI, with ongoing improvements managed together with the client.

The final verdict.

Close collaboration with product owners connected the consultation journey to a brand-aligned interface. Prototyping and testing helped refine the tool before development handoff.
