Services
Senior product judgment for teams building with AI.
I help SaaS startups and scaleups decide what to ship when AI generates the screens and the code. Every engagement starts with a free sparring session.
Product Sparring Session
One hour with a senior UX designer on your product. Bring a flow, a screen or a workflow question. You leave with concrete advice on what to change and why.
- Who it’s for
- SaaS teams where UX decisions end up with AI tools or developers by default, and teams setting up an AI design-to-dev workflow who want a second opinion.
- What you get
- Advice on flows, patterns and interaction decisions in your product
- A view on your design-to-dev workflow and where AI helps or hurts
- Three written takeaways by email after the session
- A clear next step, if there is one
- Format
- 60 minutes · free · one session per company · remote or in Ghent
Send one flow, screen recording or workflow question before the call.
Design-to-Dev Setup
I (help) set up the foundation your team needs to ship consistent UX without me: design system, UX patterns and an AI design-to-dev workflow. Then I hand it over.
- Who it’s for
- Teams with developers and AI tools in place but no senior designer, who want to ship good UX on their own.
- What you get
- Two-tier token architecture (brand → semantic) and a component library with state logic
- UX patterns and flow rules for recurring problems: forms, tables, navigation, empty and error states, among others
- A Figma → Figma MCP → Claude Code pipeline (or any other) connected to your codebase
- Automated product management and analytics, set up and maintained, so every release stays consistent and converts.
- Handover: documentation, a team walkthrough and one check-in 4 weeks later
NxtPeople and its sub-brand GoTemp run on the same system, each with its own token set.
- Format
- Estimated budget on an agreed scope · typically 6 weeks to 12 months · ends with handover, unless you don't want it to of course.
Embedded UX & Product Design Lead
I join your team and own the UX of your product or module. I make the flow and pattern decisions, direct the AI output and keep the system evolving as the product grows.
- Who it’s for
- Teams building a product that keeps changing, where UX decisions would otherwise end up with developers or AI tools.
- What you get
- Ownership of flows, patterns and interaction decisions
- Senior review of AI-generated design and code, before it ships
- A design system that grows with the product instead of drifting
- Alignment between product, design and engineering
- Guest experts from my network when needed, such as branding, sales strategies or marketing.
- Format
- monthly budget · on-site in Belgium or remote · Depends on availability
Setup or embedded?
Compare the two services if you don't know which one's good for you.
| Design-to-Dev Setup | Embedded Lead | |
|---|---|---|
| Goal | Your team ships good UX without me | I own your UX |
| After the engagement | Your team owns the system | I keep evolving it with you |
| Duration | Fixed scope, 6 weeks to 12 months | Ongoing |
| Budget | Estimated on agreed scope | Monthly |
| Best when | You need a foundation fast | Your product keeps changing |
Many teams start with a setup and continue with me embedded. Both start with a free sparring session.
Still not sure? Contact meHow engagements work
It's not always clear where a product needs senior design, or how much. That's why I start small and scope only what you need. With 20+ years in SaaS products, I understand your context fast, and every hour stays visible.

Questions founders ask
What happens in a free sparring session?
We spend one hour on one flow, screen or workflow question from your product. I give concrete UX and workflow advice, and you get three written takeaways afterwards. If there's a next step, I propose a scope and budget.
Do we need a design system before AI tools are useful?
Not to start, but AI output only stays consistent when tokens and components are defined. Without them, every generated screen drifts a little further.
Why not hire a designer on the team?
Sometimes you should. If there’s enough design work to fill a full-time role, an in-house designer makes sense. But a hire adds a fixed cost, takes months to get right, and only pays off once you know what the role needs to cover. If you’re not sure yet, start with an outside expert: I bring senior judgment, set up the foundations, and help you decide whether a hire is the right next step. Often the answer is yes. Sometimes it isn’t.
Do you work alone? What if we need more expertise?
You get one point of contact and a wider bench. Over 20 years I’ve built a network of senior specialists in areas like development, AI engineering, branding and research. When your project needs expertise beyond mine, I bring in the right person. I stay accountable for the result, so you never manage a team of freelancers yourself.
