# Connecting therapists and patients through guided exercise

Skill-Up helps physiotherapists and physical coaches create and share training, prehabilitation and rehabilitation programmes. Patients and athletes follow exercises at home with instructional videos, while professionals track their progress.

## The challenge.

Therapists and patients needed different things from the same platform. The project required aligning those perspectives while making programme creation, home exercise and progress tracking intuitive on desktop and mobile.

## The key decision.

We brought stakeholder reviews and prototype testing into the design process. Testing the app ourselves helped us understand both sides of the experience and refine the interface around their needs.

## The rejected option & why.

The first prototype was not treated as the final design. Features were reviewed and challenged through stakeholder meetings and testing before the interface was refined.

## The outcome.

The platform supports therapists sharing exercise programmes and tracking patient progress, with a more streamlined experience across desktop and mobile.

## The final verdict.

Aligning stakeholder expectations was central to the work. Repeated testing connected professional workflows with an approachable exercise experience for patients at home.
